This is a step by step guide to our corporate ore/mineral buyback program (I tried to make it as detailed as possible). This program is designed to make trading compressed ores and minerals a more convenient procedure.
The program is setup on a google doc’s document and has a scripting software built in to ensure that the prices are up to date. The scripting software takes the average of the median, mode, mean, and standard deviation of the current sale prices of the ore and minerals.
The corporation will take 7% sales tax from the total sell price. This sales tax is for hauler fees and broker tax fees for selling the ore/minerals. The document calculates everything for you.
Okay, onto to the program:
To start open the document in your browser.
The document will open as a “view” only page. To input your ores/minerals you must create your own copy. To do this you must go to “File” on the toolbar menu at the top of the document. Under “File” you will see an option for “Make a copy”. After you select “Make a copy” the document will be opened in a new tab on your browser. This is your copy of the program, you can create as many copies as need be.
Once you have the copy made and before you do anything, update the prices. To do this, you must run the script I was previously talking about. On the same toolbar menu you found “File” on, look for an option titled “Buyback”. Under this option will be another selection called “Update Prices”. Click this selection. The document will prompt you for "permission", Have no fear, the script is just asking for permission to run (If you must, for personal security, look under “tools” you can find the “script editor” this will show you the code).
Once the prices have been updated you are ready to enter your ore/mineral data. NOTE: All ores must be compressed first and foremost. To enter the ores/minerals enter them in the yellow colored columns to their corresponding name.
Once all your ores/minerals are entered you will be given a value to the far right of those ores. This is the calculated total price before tax is applied. The final total for your contract order will be listed at the top in blue in a larger font with the label “Final Contract Price” to the left of it. Once you have input all your ore/minerals and you have the final price you are ready to submit the contract.
Head back to in game with numbers in hand.
Make a "My Corporation" contract from the "contracts" page on the top left drop down menu under the business tab. Include the ores/minerals from the Buyback program and the Final Contract Price. Submit the contract and we will take care of the rest.
We will be running all mining operations out of Mesybier, the neighbor system to Orvolle. We will be setting up a engineering citadel tomorrow to allow easy compression access and manufacturing bonuses.
